Bienvenue à Normandie
Château du Jonquay and Petit Jonquay sit at the heart of the stunning Normandy countryside, surrounded by sprawling farmland and an abundance of market towns and villages.
The quaint town of Bourg-Achard is just down the road, boasting excellent restaurants and a bakery – where you can arrange for a daily delivery of fresh bread and pastries (just leave the basket on the front step before bed).
Picturesque Paris, an hour and a half away on the fast train, offers unparalleled shopping, the awe-inspiring Eiffel Tower and the gargoyle-adorned Notre-Dame cathedral.

Charming villages and bountiful markets
No more than an hour from Château du Jonquay, is the delightful seaside town of Deauville, with magnificent beaches, popular golf courses and copious designer shops. Also within an easy drive is Pont Audemer with its pretty network of little canals (and great market on Fridays) and Honfleur – a famous beautiful fishing village on the coast.
Step back in time to the recent and distant past
Spend a day absorbed in history at the beaches of Omaha, Gold and Juno where allied troops landed on D-Day during World War II. We can also help you locate local US, French and Canadian war cemeteries.
Travel even further back in time to Rouen – where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake, the Abbey of Bec-Hellouin – a 12th century monastery of Benedictine monks and to the haunting ruins of Jumièges Abbey.
Inspirational art and architecture
Monet’s house and gardens at Giverny are a popular attraction for all of our visitors. Continue your Monet tour at the nearby town of La Bouille – where Monet painted the Seine.
Lovers of French architecture are invited to explore the magnificient Chateau du Champ de Bataille, not far from Chateau du Jonquay. Filled with original Louis XIV antiques, the Chateau and formal gardens belong to ‘alchemist of atmosphere’ Jacques Garcia.

Easy to get to, much harder to leave
Pick up your hire car at either Charles de Gaulle International airport in Paris, around two hours away, or Rouen train station, 20 minutes away. A car is essential to get around on your holiday in Normandy.
